There are some venues that are simply beautiful, and then there are venues that feel like they were made for weddings. The Mackey House is one of those places.
Located just outside of Savannah on the grounds of Red Gate Farms, The Mackey House has become one of the most sought after wedding venues in the area. It is peaceful, expansive, and full of that soft, romantic charm that Savannah is known for.
We have designed floral designs and seen so many brides in our dresses get married there over the years, and it truly never gets old. Every time we walk onto the property, it feels just as special.
A Space with History
Part of what makes The Mackey House so meaningful is the story behind it.
The land itself has roots going back to the early 1900s, originally operating as a dairy farm before becoming what is now Red Gate Farms. The house was later built as a private residence for the Mackey family, and after hosting a wedding on the property, it naturally grew into a venue.
That history still lingers in the best way. It feels personal and lived in, not manufactured for events, which is something you cannot always find. It has character without sacrificing quality.

We have worked at The Mackey House more times than we can count, and it continues to be one of our favorite venues in Savannah.
Each wedding feels completely different, which speaks to how versatile the space really is. It allows us to create something that feels true to each couple while still holding onto that signature Savannah atmosphere.
From a planning perspective, it is also a venue that makes the day feel smooth. The layout makes sense, the transitions are easy, and the overall experience feels seamless for both our team and our couples.
And beyond all of that, it is just beautiful. Every single time.
