Vendor Spotlight: EmployAbility

“EmployAbility prepares adults with developmental disabilities for employment and community integration. We envision a community where people with disabilities are more broadly valued, hired by employers, receiving support, and participating in ordinary activities.”

Starting in the 1950s, they started as a group of small local programs for children with special needs. Their focus has since shifted to now empowering adults with developmental disabilities, a non-profit providing services to individuals in Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham counties.

Throughout the 2000s, they have developed a model of social enterprise that provided both experiential learning opportunities and additional revenue. They have since continued to expand, creating new programs to prepare individuals with developmental disabilities for employment and community integration.

EmployAbility is a wonderful vendor for weddings - they offer catering, custom printing, and packaging assembly. One of our I&B couples has hired EmployAbility for their wedding, specifically for their custom printing!
