2018 WEDDING TREND ALERT.
We have been all over the hottest wedding blogs searching for expert opinions on what to expect from the 2018 wedding season, and y’all… it’s safe to say that we are obsessed. 2018 is packed with bold trends; from textured dance floors to bountiful balloons, if you’re looking to make a statement while celebrating your nuptials, this is your year.
Keepin’ it moody.
Lead coordinator Mckenzie’s favorite trend? Moody, moody, moody! A deep palette and a dark vibe is the epitome of romance. Illuminate your wedding with candles and surround yourself and your loved ones with dusky greenery for the ultimate intimate vibe-- no matter the size of your guest list. A warehouse reception with dark, textured linens and gold accents… is anyone else craving a glass of merlot to pair with this dreamy wedding fantasy?
Focus on the par-tay.
It comes as no surprise that every member of the I&B team is currently counting down to the most epic wedding of all time: the Colex union. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to every perfectly-planned detail… but man, are we hype for the party of the century! Every wedding should be a non-stop celebration of your love, and we love that 2018 has ushered in a new age of wedding festivities.

Stars in the sky, you know how we feel…
We’re absolutely enchanted with the idea of an wedding spread beneath the stars. A tent strung with twinkling lights or an open air ceremony on Tybee… can you imagine anything more magical? Take this trend to the next level with a wedding gown embroidered from head to toe with stars.
Shades of blue.
2017 saw lots of blush and burgundy blooms, but this year we’re looking forward to adding a pop of dusty blue to the mix! Follow the moody trend with a midnight blue palette or keep it light and fresh for summer with blue-grey and peach. The best part about blue? It goes right along with one of Martha Stewart Weddings’ top 2018 trend predictions: dogwood bloom bouquets!
Jump(suit) on it!
We love it when brides buck tradition, and we’re all for the bride tribe following suit. Expect to see lots of non-traditional bridesmaids wear in 2018. Summertime separates are sure to be a hit, but we’re looking forward to the return of the jumpsuit, the perfect combination of style and comfort.
