Claire La Faye Trunk Show

Ya'll. We need to take a minute to talk about our obsession with Claire la Faye. Claire designs some of the most incredible, intricate, and stunning wedding dresses. All handmade in Portland, Oregon, these gowns are couture and incredible. Today we are sharing our favorite's from her 2017 collection!

We will have her complete 2017 collection today through January 28th ONLY! So make sure to set up an appointment to come try them on (only one appointment left for next Saturday the 28th!)

From Claire: The collection was born from a love of the 1970’s and the great musicians and artists who inspired it.  It began with a love affair with the Rolling Stones and the creation of one their best albums (Exile on Main Street) made in a villa in the south of France. From muses like Anita Pallenberg, Marianne Faithfull and Bianca Jagger, there was a laid back, natural beauty which captivated. We dreamed in lanky silhouettes, transparent layers, and flowing fabrics…. The muse is cool and unadorned, restless and unrestrained.

Adagio: A fitted sheath made of the finest chantilly lace, this gown is sleek and sexy, with a touch of traditional romance. We love it in the light grey, with the tulle skirt, for an added layer of drama. The best part? It's two looks in one! Tulle for the ceremony, slinky for the reception.

Marlon: One of our favorite trends of 2017 are cutouts. We love the hint of skin geometric cutouts make, while still keeping the gown wedding day appropriate. Made of silk crepe de chine, this gown is so soft and feels amazing on. It has a low back, with side cutout panels made of chantilly lace.

Stargrove: Sequins are a girls best friend. Honestly, everything is better when it sparkles. So it's not a surprise we are obsessed with Stargrove! She is a silver sequin gown with all over sparkle, and lined in a soft grey, for a universally flattering color. And that low v neck? To. Die. For.

Haylen: Another trend of 2017 we are loving are embroidered floral print. No longer just a lace pattern, designers are playing with layers of texture, and Claire does it perfectly in the Haylen gown. It features a soft satin embroidery detail all over, and an extra low back for a touch of skin.

Wildhorses skirt with Anouk top: Our top trend of 2017? COLOR! We love a bride who dares to wow in color, and nothing is more dramatic then black. We are more then obsessed with this combo, with a multi layered tulle skirt, pleating detail, and long train. Not sure you are feeling black? No worries, this lovely lady comes in Ivory, light grey, blush, and nude as well.
