Behind the Scenes: the Big Fake Wedding Shoot
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an Ivory & Beau team member? Just imagine lots of laughter, a few potential OSHA violations (jk, but really, we’ll do anything to make sure our I&B couples the perfect wedding day, including standing on some sketchy ass ladders), and some very long, wonderful, flower-and-dress-and-fun filled days spent making dreams come true.
Really though, y’all. Working with the I&B team is such a blast that coming in to work every day never really feels like… well, work! Don’t get us wrong, we definitely work our butts off, it’s a scientific fact that time spent with #girlbosses is never time wasted. We’re a whirlwind of wedding expertise from wedding dresses, to florals, and planning.
It’s exactly why we were so honored to become a part of Savannah’s Big Fake Wedding team. Having the chance to work alongside some of Savannah’s most treasured wedding vendors is a dream come true for us.
We had a blast working on this boho-desert inspired styled shoot for the Big Fake Wedding, so we figured we’d let you in on some of the fun and give you a peek at some of the behind the scenes shots from the big day.

We get there early.
We unpack ALL the things (and we usually have a whole TRAILER’S worth of them).
We get a little sweaty.
We take a few instagram stories.
We change our minds a couple of times, but at the end of the day, everything comes out perfectly.
We high five so hard our hands hurt.
We pack up and go home and cuddle our animals and come back ready to make magic happen again the very next day.
Crazy, right? The hustle never stops, which is exactly why we’re so glad we’ll be moving shop later this year. Ambition like this just can’t be contained.
As you may have guessed, our calendar is getting pretty packed with exciting events. From shop owner Nicole’s impending wedding to our move and all of the amazing I&B weddings and bridal appointments in between, we’re dizzy with anticipation. One of the most exciting events of all? The upcoming Big Fake Wedding event at the Tybee Island Chapel & Grand Ballroom!
Never heard of the Big Fake Wedding? Imagine the coolest alternative bridal show ever in the form of, well… a big, fake wedding! It’s been bumped to Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 7pm-9pm due to Hurricane Michael, but no storm could stop this party.
