Destination Weddings: Take Ivory & Beau with you to Oregon

Lately, we have been posting ALL OVER our social media about how we reallyyyyy want to start doing destination weddings! Since 2013 we have been primarily wedding planners in Savannah and surrounding areas, and now that it is 2020, we are ready to begin new adventures!

In an effort to get these adventures started, we are promoting that the first FOUR destination weddings that we book will have NO TRAVEL FEES added on. With any destination requires traveling which means more money needs to be spent in order to get there, stay there and for labor. So, without these travel fees added on means you will be saving money, YAY! We have book our first destination wedding in Asheville (so excited), so there are three more opportunities to book us without travel fees!

Now let’s get to the inspiration - we are always seeing photos on Pinterest and Instagram of these GORGEOUS wedding venues all over the country, and it gets our creativity booming and we want to be able to plan and create floral masterpieces in these locations! The first being Oregon. Our owner, Nicole, is from Oregon so naturally we would start there. Here is a mood board to inspire you to get married in Eugene, OR at an amazing venue, and we break down each element with a few tips on how to make it happen!

THE VENUE

Loloma Lodge - Eugene, OR

Loloma Lodge is “a year-round destination for your special day, gathering, or getaway”. With four river-front cabins nestled right in the middle of the woods, you can have a full weekend celebration. Getting married in the woods is definitely not for everyone, but there is so much room for creativity and customization to make the space fit your theme and aesthetic. It is also nice to get away from everything and everyone to truly embrace the importance of your wedding day and provide a private experience for you and your guests. Loloma Lodge is the cutest space for the “campground, middle of nowhere vibe”, and the best part? They offer lodging, camping, a reception area, AND ceremony site ALL IN ONE location. Talk about convenient. So please please please someone get married here and HIRE US to plan and do the florals for your special day, because this triangle ceremony arch is amazing and we would love to recreate it for you!

THE COLORS

Mustard Yellow, Cranberry, Peach

This color palette just makes me happy. There is something so welcoming about a bright mustard yellow paired with a deep cranberry - makes me instantly think of Thanksgiving and who doesn’t love Thanksgiving?? Being surrounded by trees and greenery, these colors are the perfect pop needed to make your wedding stand out. The comfortability of the warm colors add an element of intimacy for your guests, and really allows everyone to feel the love that is represented by this day.

THE DETAILS

Lighting, Shareables, Ceramic Dinnerware

Using organic materials that you can simply grab from outside make for the perfect decor in a venue like this. Draping greenery with dangling blooms and a strand of lights is a great way to keep things simple, especially with cost, to add such a unique touch to an outdoor space because it fits right in with the aesthetic. Going along with keeping it simple - shareables. Finger foods are the key to entertaining a group of people. No one wants to struggle with a complicated dish, especially at an outdoor wedding. Something easy to grab and munch on, like a charcuterie board with fruits, nuts and crackers is the way to go. Adding special touches that you wouldn’t typically see at a wedding, like camping canisters and ceramic mugs, add such a cozy and nostalgic feel that will allow your guests to feel right at home.
