TOP TEN: Bridal Styles at I&B

Nicole here. It’s 8:32am while I’m writing this half asleep (we normally come in at 10am so this is early for me). At least I’ve got my coffee in my Ivory & Beau logo coffee cup next to me. At the shop early while we finally get the hole in our floor filled in with concrete. I guess I decided to write a blog because my brain isn’t quite mentally prepared yet for what else the day has in store for me.

SO while prepping my morning instagram post I decided that I wanted to pick my TOP TEN favorite bridal styles currently at Ivory & Beau. This is going to be hard because well, I love wedding dresses. Like a lot. I guess I picked a good career you could say? So, to narrow down our selection of over 130+ styles is something I hope doesn’t take me too long.

Here goes… 8:34am. I’m going to give myself 10 minutes to finish this. And the timer starts…. NOW.

#1 - Made with Love ‘Joey’:

ughhhhhhhhh it is sooooooo good. The lace of this dress is epic. Y’all, it’s like the softest fabric you will ever touch in the entirety of your life. And the bows in the back? I’m freaking ob-sessed. It’s so dreamy, romantic, sweet, angelic. OB-SESSED.

That was cute how I tried to say I was going to do this in 10 minutes. I already got distracted twice. Hello, ADD? I swear I have it. Oh and what the HEEEEECK y’all. My best friend just had her baby. That’s a good excuse for getting distracted right!? Sending ALL THE LOVE TO JESSIE HUDDLESTON. I have known this girl since we were 12. Well, I was 12 and she was 11. My oldest friend y’all. Like old as in known the longest not she is old because if she is old then I’m super old. Okay, now on to my TOP TEN #2 PICK!

#2 - Maggie Sottero ‘Carmella Jane’:

Why oh why is this beautiful style now discontinued. I guess good news for the lucky bride who falls in love with this dress at a ridiculously good price. This dress was one I was SOO CLOSE to getting for my wedding but it didn’t arrive quite in time to be my 2nd dress. It features a BODYSUIT underneath and the top layer is full of glitter and sequins and fun. I love this dress because while it looks couture it is like a quarter of the price you’d spend on a couture gown. It’s just waiting for the perfect babe to rock it. [our sample is a size 12.]

#3 - Maggie Sottero ‘Milan’:

Jumper, romper, whatever you want to call, I call it freaking EPIC y’all. I am OBSESSED. And even more so I am about to be obsessed with the first rad bride to rock this!!!!!!!!!!!!

#4 - Maggie Sottero ‘Fatima’:

Y’all. Best ballgown in our shop currently if you ask me. I am in love with the soft crepe top. It is so flattering on all shapes. And that horsehair? Like I love horsehair. It just adds that fun playful drama that I think is so perfect.

#5 - Maggie Sottero ‘Kaysen’:

Kaysen, Kaysen, Kaysen. Kaysen, how you’ve stole my heart. 2 dresses in 1. Yes. I mean you had me at 1 but then you made it 2 and now I’m just straight up head over heels in love with you. I kind of like really love detachable trains/skirts. Yup, I rocked one at my wedding and best decision ever. We did our first look before the ceremony and for that I didn’t have the skirt or veil on. But then when I put that on and walked down the aisle with the veil over my face, tears rolling down my face while I could not stop laughing?! It was truly magical and felt like the first look all over again. I highly recommend it!!!!! So Kaysen. I love you, dearly.

#6 - Rebecca Ingram ‘Seraphina’:

Did you know when Ivory & Beau opened originally we solely carried “boho” designers and styles? True life. While now we do carry something for the everygirl, the Southern sweetheart, the traditional classic bride, we do still have a select few boho styles because we couldn’t completely drop that original vibe of the shop. And this style has the perfect touch of boho with the unique details in the top that I truly adore. And? The best part? It’s affordable. Yup, that’s right. Who doesn’t love that?

#7 - Rebecca Ingram ‘Lucille’:

Similar to the last style by Rebecca Ingram, I love Lucille for her touch of boho detail under the arm. The dress is so romantic, so classic yet just has the perfect touch of unique detail to make it a little different. I truly adore this dress so much. And just look at how perfectly it hugs curves. So good.

#8 - Rebecca Ingram ‘Cindy’:

It really is quite funny I thought I could finish this blog in 10 minutes. It’s currently 9:30am… Anyway, this is another one of my favorites. It’s classic, romantic, dreamy, so perfect for the Southern bride. I can just see it in a quaint chapel like Whitefield Chapel. This dress would be THE BEST fit for there. Can’t you see it too?

#9 - Sottero & Midgley ‘Owen’:

This dress. Oh my goodness gracious it is the most princess-y dress on this list but I love it so much even though I typically am not drawn to princess vibes. I think it’s the unique fabric. The skirt features a beautiful fabric detail that is so one-of-a-kind and gorgeous. And the top is so flattering and beautiful with so many beads. It is a dress for a queen for sure. Or a princess. You know, royalty.

#10 - Willowby ‘Asa’:

Last but not least, Asa by Willowby. Y’all knew I had to pick at least one from our most boho designer, Willowby. I love this dress because it’s romantic, soft, like super soft and it’s so dreamy. Cannot wait to see the bride who rocks this dress. She is a daydreamer, a little bit adventurous and loves being comfortable while fabulous. It’s perfect.

So there you have it. 10 minutes turned into an hour later and I have picked my TOP TEN bridal styles currently available at Ivory & Beau. What do you think? Do you like them? What’s your favorite? Would you rock one of these wedding dresses at your wedding? I would. Like totally would. And I think you should too.

I also think you should book your bridal appointment 1-2 weeks prior especially if you want a Saturday appointment. Last weekend I let one of my stylists have the day off because we only were booked for 2 appointments at each time slot instead of 3 (we have 3 fitting rooms) and during the day we had 4 BRIDES call wanting to come in and I had to turn them ALL AWAY because I didn’t have a stylist available to help them. So be sure to book sooner rather than later so that we are ready for you!! Click below to book your appointment to shop wedding dresses!!

And that is why I don’t write blogs anymore because it takes a long time. But wow I sure do miss it. Like I really miss it. Like maybe I need to make more time for writing blogs because it truly is so much fun. Someday…
