Hydrate

Staying hydrated is probably the most important step in keeping your skin clear and purified. Drinking plenty of water and eating snacks filled with water, such as watermelon, cucumber and melon.

Green tea is also known for preventing aging and is filled with antioxidants that will help reduce sun damage, wrinkles and more.

Exfoliate

Exfoliating is essential to keep your skin smooth and fresh. Your entire face and body requires exfoliation in order to stay healthy and young. It removes build up of dirt and dead skin cells and prevents blemishes.

The recommended amount of times to exfoliate is an average of 2-3 times a week. However, if you have sensitive skin, you should only exfoliate 1 time a week. It is definitely possible to overwork your skin, which could cause skin damage.

Frank Body Scrub is an all over body scrub made from coffee beans, that reduces cellulite and stretch marks.

Moisturize

After exfoliating, it is important to follow up with a form a moisture, to restore hydration to the skin.

You can keep your steps as simple or complex as you would like, just keep in mind how much your skin can take. An overload of different products can clog your pores or cause reactions depending on how sensitive your skin is.

The most basic skincare routine consists of a face wash, followed by a moisturizer. However, to give your skin an added boost of hydration to ensure glowing skin on your wedding day, add toner, a serum, and eye cream.

SPF

SPF is the most common step that people either forget about, or think that their skin will be fine without….wrong.

Your skin is exposed to so many damaging rays and pollution on a daily basis.

Don’t get me wrong, you do not need to cake on the heavy sunscreen that basically turns your face into a ghost. There are so many moisturizers and even makeup products with SPF in them. Those products make it easier to protect your skin without the feeling of a ton of product on your face and eliminates a step in your routine.

Wash Your Makeup Brushes

I can’t stress this enough…WASH YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES.

Your brushes collect so much dirt and bacteria, it’s not even funny. The longer you go without washing them, the more build up you’re going to get, that simple.

Imagine putting a million little bacteria on your face daily, and what that can do to the health of your skin. At the BARE MINIMUM, you should wash them once a month. It is recommended to wash them once a week, and brushes that you use for liquid products to be washed daily. This is an essential step to keeping your skin clear for your wedding day.

Sleep

Believe it or not, sleep is so crucial for preventing skin aging. If your body is lacking rest, your skin will show it.

We know that wedding planning is exhausting and time consuming, making it more difficult to get the right amount of sleep….make it a priority, you won’t regret it.
