Nancy & Matt on Bridal Musings

We love when one of our sweet couples gets published! Nancy and Matthew were such a great couple to work with! Nancy came in to try on gowns at our shop, and we started talking about wedding planning. We talked all about her wedding, and her vision for her special day in Savannah. Next thing you know, she not only bought her dress and accessories with us, but booked us for wedding planning and flowers!

She wanted a sweet, rustic, and comfortable wedding. Her focus was on fun, and she wanted guests to have a great time, and be able to relax. The ceremony was at Whitfield Chapel, one of Savannah's most popular chapels. You can no longer have weddings at Whitfield, so it was great to be able to have our last wedding there be Nancy's. The reception took place at Savannah Station, which fit their theme perfectly. They chose a color palate of navy, blush and gray, which we tied in with navy linens and blush and ivory flowers.

It might have rained, but they never let it get them down! The Happy Bloom took such amazing pictures, that truly captured the day, and how in love Nancy and Matthew are. Matt’s two daughters were bridesmaids, and some of our favorite photos are of Nancy and Matt and the girls.

See more of their wedding up on Bridal Musings!

For her gown, Nancy chose an organza mermaid by Blush by Hayley Paige, and added some lace with a veil by Jaclyn Jordan. She went with a silver sash by local designer, Adele Amelia. She wanted something classic and elegant, but still fun and easy to move, and we think this Trumpet silhouette was perfect on her! It was a little chilly that day, so we loved her addition of a gray fur cape! Her bridesmaids were in navy gowns, with blush shawls to keep the girls warm.

For the flowers, Nancy wanted a mix of textures, blush's and ivories. We used pink and white O'Hara garden roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, and dusty miller. For the centerpieces, we used white hydrangeas for lot's of large blooms, mixed with some white stock, garden roses, dusty miller and eucalyptus.

Ummm can we take a minute to talk about how awesome their getaway car was? They used it for transportation to the reception, as well as at the end of the night. We love this touch of bad-ass-ness with the soft touches of the wedding.

Since it was rainy on their wedding day, Nancy and Matt had the cutest after wedding session at Old Sheldon Ruins! This allowed them to capture more pictures together, and we love it!
