HORA LOCA

For those of you who don't know Spanish... "Hora Loca" translates to "Crazy Hour." Daniela & Pedro's wedding was the first wedding where we ever experienced an Hora Loca. And oh my goodness gracious I can't even begin to describe how seriously fun this was. So what is an Hora Loca you ask? Well, let me tell you all about it... because I'm not really sure if there is any way to have as wild and fun of a party as with this Latin tradition...

The Hora Loca is a very popular tradition at weddings in countries in Latin America and Miami. Typically, an hour long wild party with Latin music, props, masks, dancers and entertainers that transitions from the traditional wedding reception to the wild party. Daniela & Pedro had a friend dress up in full costume while the couple rocked massive hats and we passed out all sorts of fun things for the guests. In bigger cities there are even companies that you can hire to put on the show for the Hora Loca... seriously, how cool is that!? Maybe someday Savannah will be cool enough to have some Hora Loca artistas!?!? Anyway, here are some of my favorite pictures that Izzy Hudgins captured for all the craziness... and huge thank you to Daniela & Pedro for letting us be a part of your big day!!!

I think one of my favorite things about the Hora Loca is that it was fun for all ages, young to old. The little kids were having a blast playing with props and dressing up while the older guests were enticed out onto the dance floor to get down while the in-betweeners were of course going wild. It brought so much energy to the room and brought out all the fun for the guests.
